Kaaram for Your Ears: The Soundtrack of Our Flavour
kaaramokplease AdminShare
At Kaaram OK Please, we don’t just bottle heat — we bottle feeling. And sometimes, the best way to evoke a memory, set a mood, or carry a flavour home is through music. That’s why sound is as integral to our brand as spice.
We’ve built a sonic identity that’s just as bold, layered, and nostalgic as our sauces and condiments — and we’ve made it available to everyone through our Spotify page, filled with handpicked playlists that we update regularly.
What Does Kaaram Sound Like?
It sounds like your mother singing in the kitchen.
Like a beat-up cassette player crackling at a tea kadai.
Like the bassline from a Malayalam rock anthem or a Tamil kuthu beat from the 90s.
It’s playful, nostalgic, gritty, and sometimes unexpectedly emotional.
Here’s how we curate it:
🎧 Handpicked, Always
Our playlists aren’t algorithm-generated. They’re the product of real digging, real emotion, and sometimes, hours spent remembering the song that played during a train journey from school to summer.
We pull from:
-
Eelam Tamil music — raw, powerful, and rooted in resistance.
-
Malayalam rock — introspective, moody, yet melodic.
-
Tamil film music — especially the golden eras of Ilaiyaraaja and Rahman, but also obscure background scores, folk-inspired interludes, and retro funk gems.
-
Indie artists — South Asian creators who are pushing boundaries and reclaiming sound in new, unexpected ways.
🎶 For Every Mood & Dish
We build playlists for the kitchen, the road trip, the rooftop party, or that 2 AM cooking session when you’re suddenly hungry and nostalgic. From simmering chutneys to assembling that perfect rice bowl, we’ve got a vibe for every step.

💿 Soundtrack Your Own Kaaram Moments
Every reel we post is scored with purpose — a beat to match the pour, a tune to mirror the sizzle. We’ve had folks ask us more about the background music than the actual recipe. (We’ll take it.)
Music helps us amplify the story behind the food — sometimes joyful, sometimes melancholic, always rooted.
🎤 Calling All Creators
We also collaborate with independent musicians and sound designers — especially South Asian voices experimenting with heritage and modernity. If your track sounds like ghee crackling with mustard seeds, or like grinding chillies under a stone pestle, we want to hear from you.
